Edmonton police said Thursday evening that the death of a man found Wednesday morning in a south side neighbourhood is the city’s first homicide of 2015.
Officers with the Southwest Division were called to the area of 25 Avenue and 120 Street to help paramedics at about 6:40 a.m. Wednesday. They arrived to find a man lying dead on the road.
EPS said Thursday the Medical Examiner had completed the autopsy on the man, and confirmed his death was a homicide.
The victim has been identified as Paul Murray Grandbois, 36. The cause of his death has not been released, police said, for investigative purposes.
