Grande Prairie toddler Makena Fedorick may only be two years old, but the little girl has taken Youtube, and the world by storm with her cover of a British superstar's hit.
Dressed in her pink pajamas, dainty pink earrings and lavender bead necklace, Fedorick sings the lyrics she knows and mumbles her way through those she forgets of part of Adele's ‘Someone Like You."
Her parents, Chris and Heather Fedorick, posted the video of their pop princess to Facebook on March 6. The overwhelming response from family and friends caused the couple to later submit the video to Youtube.
"Usually when you take out the camera, she'll tone it down or stop altogether," Chris Fedorick said in a phone interview from the family home. "Unlike that one day, she was in the mood I guess to just have at it, like the camera wasn't even there."
The video has gone viral since it was posted two weeks ago, receiving nearly five million hits.
"The first day we got 600 hits, which is more than impressive since we don't even know 600 people," Fedorick said.
Fedorick's performance has also earned an ardent following in Brazil and sparked media interest from around the world.
"The Today Show," CNN's Anderson Cooper and other media outlets have forwarded queries to the Fedorick family about their budding diva in diapers.
Fedorick's father, who operates a McDonald's in Grande Prairie, has taken time away from his job recently to field media calls, however Adele has not called.
Makena also knows the words to Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" and a few long songs from Rihanna.
