Police are looking for an inmate who escaped from a central Edmonton halfway house Sunday.
Police are working to track down Michael Bearboy, 42, who was reported missing after the 9:30 p.m. count at the Stan Daniels Healing Centre in the downtown area Sunday, February 19.
Bearboy is described as:
- 173 cm (5'8") tall
- 106 kg (234 lbs.)
- Brown eyes
- Black hair
- Has a tattoo of a cat on his upper left arm
- Scars and burns on his left forearm
Authorities said Bearboy is serving a seven year, four month sentence for manslaughter and escaping custody.
Officials from the Correctional Service of Canada and the halfway house are investigating the incident.
