Balwin School, in the city’s northeast, was placed on lockdown for about an hour Friday morning following an online threat.

An Edmonton Public Schools spokesperson confirmed the case to CTV News later Friday morning, and said police were investigating an online threat.

EPSB said the lockdown ended just before 11 a.m.

Students at the Kindergarten to Grade 9 school hid for about an hour during the lockdown.

The spokesperson confirmed all students were safe.
