Autopsy takes place on Edmonton's latest homicide victim

An autopsy was done Monday afternoon on the city's 37th homicide victim of the year.

Officers are investigating after a 27-year-old man was stabbed when a fight near an apartment building on 115 Avenue and 132 Street escalated after 10 p.m. Saturday night.

The victim was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in serious condition, and died a short time later.

Autopsy results have not been released.

Police told CTV News it's believed the victim knew his attackers.

No charges have been laid.
