Police are investigating after a woman who was taken to hospital Tuesday evening suffering from gunshot wounds died in hospital.
Edmonton police said Wednesday that homicide detectives were investigating, after an injured woman was dropped off at an Edmonton hospital suffering from gunshot wounds, where she later died.
Police said the 27-year-old woman, along with a 31-year-old man, was dropped off at an Edmonton hospital Tuesday at about 6:30 p.m.
The woman passed away a short time later, police said the male remains in hospital in stable condition.
The Homicide Section has taken over the investigation, and an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, May 5, 2016.
