A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a head-on collision Sunday.

The incident happened on 75 Street and 95 Avenue just after 1 p.m.

Police said a motorcycle was travelling north on 75 Street when a vehicle in front of the bike stopped suddenly.

The motorcyclist swerved to avoid hitting the vehicle and collided head-on with a pickup truck.

“Initial indications were possibly a broken pelvis and some serious head injuries but happily his spine is good, and his pelvis is good,” Acting Sgt. Duncan Burns explained.

There were no other injuries reported.
