Crews in Grande Prairie responded to a house fire around 3 a.m. Sunday in the Lakeland neighbourhood.
The home on 128 Avenue at 93 Street was vacant at the time and no one was injured.
Although smoke was seen billowing from the second floor, the blaze is believed to have started in the basement.
Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the one house and no neighbouring homes were affected.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
